Dark Bot

Hosted by Electronic Max

Machines of Loving Grace, by Richard Brautigan as realized by Freeman Z

Dark Bot has been on WMBR for a few years now. Freeman Thought that a show bearing the slogan "Music for Lonely Robots" would appreciate this carefully sculpted Apple Voice reading a poem by Brautigan, a poet who wrote for Rolling Stone, and who committed suicide an the late 60's.

"Machines of Loving Grace also inspired a rather bizarre musical group I used to play at WBRF Radio in the 90's" Says Freeman. "They had a song full of curses with the words 'All I really need is your love.' kinda weird. I think that's how I came to search the web and find the poem. I knew about Brautigan from browsing the Rolling Stone archives on microfilm back at Colorado College. I read his poetry un til the issue that announced his death."

Electronic Max aired the piece, (without attribution at Freeman's suggestion,) noting that it was perfect for the program!
